My husband had vidited this area about twenty years or so ago, and had taken a similar trip and saw lots of puffins. He was very excited to be going again, especially since we are now avid birdwatchers, and he is very much into photography.
Needless to say we were not disappointed in the trip as we added four new birds to our life list, and returned to the hotel with several hundred photos to edit. And also got to add a fin whale to our whale sightings.
It is a very long, hard trip and we were totally exhausted upon returning.
While we had brought our long underwear, the day before had been so beautiful that we decided to not wear them. Bad idea!! It was very cold and foggy at times. Luckily, we had jackets, gloves, and headbands for some warmth.
The boat serves hot rolls for breakfast and coffee. For lunch it is a sandwich, brownie, granola bar, apple, and carrots
with your choice of water, soda, or coffee. My husband and I do not eat sugars or flours, so be sure to take snacks for yourself.
Captain Gary and Tammy really work hard to make sure you see the things you are intetested in. Excellent job was done on this trip.
Thank you.
