Great way to see NYC! My 13 year old daughter and I really enjoyed the tour and especially our fantastic tour guide, Rob. The tour was comprehensive and filled with something to appeal to everyone both young and old. We saw the sights, learned interesting history, met new friends and even learned how to ride the subway! I really enjoy seeing a city like this when we travel some place new. It's a great way to learn your way around and figure out places you want to visit while on your trip. We spent the day with a great group of people and learned things we never would on our own like the fact that the Saks Fifth Avenue shoe department ships so many shoes it has its own zip code or that there is an amazing FREE museum inside the New York Public Library.
I agree with other reviewers who said this tour is perfect for singles as well as families and people traveling with friends. You do a lot of walking so prepare for that with comfortable clothing and shoes. You should also consider the weather given the length of the tour because certain times of the year it can be chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon. We stopped once for a bathroom break and then had an hour or so for lunch. It would be helpful to bring some snacks like a granola or protein bar and a bottle of water along in case you get hungry or thirsty. I'm sure Rob would have stopped more if we had asked, but we didn't want to waste a moment of this fantastic tour and you won't want to either. My teen LOVED this tour. I think the tour is probably best suited for families with older children given the length of the tour, the amount of walking and infrequent food and bathroom breaks, but there are truly parts of the tour that could be enjoyed by all.
Rob made the trip enjoyable, interesting, and fun! Well worth every penny and the hours spent. I highly recommend this company and tour. Make sure to ask for Rob and you will have a truly memorable experience!
