Spring time in the Rockies is unpredictable. It was beautiful to see the tulips and irises in bloom.

We visited in mid April and it seemed to be a tiny bit too early to experience the gardens in their full glory. The indoor sections and the tulips were all lovely though. I would love to go back in the summer to see more foliage. The grounds were well kept and clean with plenty of waste disposal receptacles. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. Took just shy of two hours with sparse garden growth so I would allot 3-4 hours if you plan on visiting during the late Spring/Summer months.

I recently went to these Botanic Gardens in Denver in mid May and didn't know what to expect or how good it would be. I went on a beautiful sunny day and these gardens are stunning not to mention extensive. You could easily spend half the day here just wandering around and taking pictures or bring food or snack to eat on one of the many benches scattered throughout the gardens. I would recommend going when the weather is nice because it enhances the experience.
