If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III (Class IV at higher water) Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

At lower water levels it's perfect for first-timers, families, and people who like experiencing life rather than Snapchatting it. At higher water levels, typically late-Spring thru early-Summer, this experience is best for adrenaline junkies and experienced paddlers in good physical condition and without pre-existing medical conditions.

My friends and I did double duckie boats for our first time ever rafting. The team at Defiance were all incredibly helpful, kind and entertaining. It was a beautiful and exciting day. My friends and I will certainly return. I really can't say enough good things about the experience we had here. Thank you!

Our family had a fantastic rafting experience, even though Shoshone was closed. The river was running fast, but still able to do some jumping overboard (for those who wanted to). Brad made our experience even more memorable. He is a fun guide. Highly recommend asking for Brad, if you are up for an adventure. We had 3 kids, 1 9 years old and 2 13 year olds who look forward to rafting again. Thank you Defiance for a great time!

This was a great first experience. The canyon was breath taking and there is no better way to experience the canyon than to be rafting down it! The tour guides were awesome they made our trip even more special!
