Glenwood Canyon Half-Day Raft Trip in Colorado

Overview
If we only had two to three hours to spend on the water and wanted show our friends or family what it's like to experience the thrill of Class III (Class IV at higher water) Colorado whitewater rafting and the beauty of Glenwood Canyon, this would be the trip we'd take them on. And if we only had two hours because everyone had plans after the trip, well, we'd probably cancel them so we could all go rafting.

At lower water levels it's perfect for first-timers, families, and people who like experiencing life rather than Snapchatting it. At higher water levels, typically late-Spring thru early-Summer, this experience is best for adrenaline junkies and experienced paddlers in good physical condition and without pre-existing medical conditions.

All in all the trip was okay just not what it was advertised or what it seemed it was more of a river float than a rapid white water experience.

Hi, Riley. It sounds like you want to get on the rapid section during higher water in June and early July when the rapids are at their most intense. Right now, the water level provides a classic, family-friendly stretch of Class III whitewater to start things off before mellowing into a nice, laid-back float. Another option worth exploring is our Double Shoshone Rapids trip where we only do the rapid section – and we do it twice! Take care – Gregory

We had a great time! Jacob was our guide and he did a phenomenal job. We enjoyed the class three rapids as well as the slow float through the Glenwood Gorge. It was beautiful and very relaxing.
