My husband and I, his sister and her 3 girls, and his other sister and her husband.
The sister and husband had never been to Tue Grand Canyon and thought the Train ride would be a fun family thing to do. It was a fun way to get to the Grand Canyon. I would say not to buy the bus tour of tue Canyon. Our dilemma, the gurls all had souvenir money to spend and we really had extremely limited time to find a shop. We missed out on any Native American history, Hopi House and dance by Native Americans. The timing was also a long stretch without food. We had buffet breakfast at 7am, departed on train 9:30 and buffet lunch was at 2pm. Snack car on the train was open, cash only for things like chips and candy. For the price a small snack bag included would have been nice.
We had a great excursion on the train, there are just some things we felt could have been better.
