The train can accommodate a motorized scooter if it is no wider than 25 inches. There is a special lift to lift the scooter onto the train.
Please note: Arizona doesn't observe Day Light Savings and switches between MST (Mountain Standard Time) and PST (Pacific Standard Time) depending on the season.
Post COVID-19 Safety Updates - We politely request that you refrain from taking this tour should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you are at a high risk of contracting the disease. Please ensure 1 person per group wait in line for ticket exchange. Face masks will be highly recommended. Social distancing will be practiced on train platform and on the train. Seating on board the train will be limited to maximize social distancing, and guests will be asked to promptly take their seat keeping aisles clear and to remain seated except to use restrooms.

Great way to see the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It drops you right at the South rim by the El Tovar. Don’t have to hunt for parking. You spend 2 and one fourth hours on the train, three hours at the Grand Canyon, then you return to Williams. I would spend the extra money and ride in the luxury dome liner. You get a snack box both coming and going. You can purchase cocktails if you desire. There is a shootout before boarding the train, a train robbery, and a singing cowboy. Great fun. It is a little speedy, but worth the money for the convenience..

Had a great day on the train in the dome car. The highlight was Conyarae and her infectious laugh. We were treated very well! Everyone was friendly and it was a nice birthday treat for my husband. I think the $425.00 fair was very expensive...but it was a once in a lifetime adventure for us. The champagne toast was nice too on our return to the train. Train is not fancy and the snacks are just okay, but it was very enjoyable.

This is a wonderful way to experience the Grand Canyon. The whole experience is well organized, Covid-compliant and a great investment. Plan to get your tickets ahead of time, online or in person. Understand that they cannot operate at full capacity due to Covid and masking is required. We had a wonderful host in our train car. Amber Rose, you made the day memorable, comfortable and FUN! Prior to the train departure there is a wild west show, which we missed. The train departed on time and Amber Rose took great care to explain the history of the area, what we would want/need to know as we arrived at the Grand Canyon, and she was very generous handing out complimentary bottles of water. It may not seem like you're at a high elevation, but you are and you may notice you feel tired and dehydrated if you're not regularly drinking water. Over and over Amber Rose said "if you're thirsty, you're already 25% dehydrated, and I believe her! On the way to the canyon musical entertainment is provided by a singing cowboy, who was very good. How he could sing so well on a moving train, with people up and about still amazes me. The train moves slowly, and there is no wi-fi....just relax and enjoy it. Check out the restored Pullman car, really neat to see. Arriving at the Grand Canyon, Amber Rose had already told us things we needed to know, that the shuttles weren't running, a few shops were closed, and she reviewed our restaurant options all ahead of time. This was super helpful. We had 3 hours at the Canyon to do as we pleased. That was plenty of time. On the return trip, we were robbed by some feisty cowboys and the sheriff came through for our statements about the crime. Such fun! Truly, a great adventure. Highly recommend!
