Having read previous reviews we were aware of an early start and feelings of an apparent disorganization of the tour. This did not put us off and should not put others off either. Once we arrived at the Grand Canyon the 'tour' is out of the hands of the company that drop you off, this was made very clear on our way to the canyon. Having read previous reviews, it can feel slightly unorganized once you arrive, this I can understand, but is due to the sheer volume of people that have arrived, if you take time to listen to the guides, who are readily available throughout the pickups and viewing points you cannot go wrong or end up in wrong place. We had booked the helicopter and boat trips, which I wholly recommend. The viewing points are fantastic, but having viewed via a birds eye view and from the 'basin' via the boat, this trip is truly recommended. A note of warning however, we were informed on our way to the canyon that we would have our helicopter/boat trip first upon our arrival (approx 12pm) due to the volume of visitors we were told to arrival at the depot at 2pm for our flight/boat trip. Fortunately we arrived at 1.30p.m. and was quickly ushered forward for the pre-booked trip (this was picked up by the ushers from the relevant stickers that we had been issued) Word of warning some people on our tour had pre booked the skywalk, they were told at the initial pick up(6.45 am) that because they had the wristband already issued they could walk straight onto the skywalk, not so. Overall brilliant trip do the heli/boat trip.
If you are going to do a grand canyon tour then this would have to be the way to go. It was well organised, the lunch was superb and the helicopter and boat ride absolutely amazing. You are only in the chopper for about 5 minutes up and down but it was breathtaking. the boat cruise was relaxing and informative, our boat guide was both knowledgeable and fun. All in all a great day well worth the money we paid. Our teenage kids were rapt and sometimes it can take a lot to please them.
was good...only down side was the place they take you by helicopter on canyon is not as good as place we have lunch. views there brilliant.
coaches should do pick up and take you to canyon not to a place where we meet other people and get breakfast and talk about tour. this a waste of time.
rest of trip good and worth doing.
