I was a bit disappointed with this tour having read the reviews. The museum itself is 1 very small room and the guide we had - to be honest - really didn't do anything. We were shown a video, then he explained a few items maybe 4 and then gave us a headset to explore ourselves. This trip is advertised at 2 hours - we did it in 1 hour and didn't leave anything out!!
It's a cheap visit and the photos are amazing and very moving - but if you're going to the 9/11 museum I wouldn't bother with this one.
This is not the tour you think it is. It's a 400 sq ft room in the meat packing district with photos and a few artifacts taken from the recovery at ground zero. Most of the focus is on the firefighters. It's fine for what it is, but if you are looking for the story of the 9/11 tragedy go to the other museum. I think some who wrote prior reviews confused which museum was which. If you choose to go here, you'll be done in an hour.
Not the exact tour I actually had thought I booked and wanted, but this was still nice and moving experience. To see artifacts and hear the stories behind these were quite moving.
