Terrible, deceptive staff at dock - check in- location. After waiting 40 minutes in line to check in - we watched the two boats at the dock "fill-up" with other passengers and prepare to depart. My family and I were then bussed to the ferry dock where we were loaded onto another boat (the crew of which, Drew and Demi, were very good) and finally left to find whales. This whale watching trip was much anticipated and carefully planned by my family. We chose this company because of the location and the advertised boats. Although the naturalist and captain, Drew and Dani were pleasant and knowledgable, I would not recommend this company to anyone. WAIT IN LINE FOR 40 Min TO "CHECK IN" FOR OUR RESERVED SPOTS?! Then when we think we are boarding a boat, we were told to get on a BUS to go to another location to get on a boat there?! ( the 2 boats at the check in location were full). This company was very disappointing. We saw whales, but by the time we got on a boat, 45 minutes after the scheduled departure, I was so angry, it was hard to let it go and enjoy the trip. Drew and Dani tried hard and were very good. By the way, we reserved this trip months in advance.

Granted, we seemed to luck out with the weather. Calm smooth water and not a cloud in the sky. But I could not recommend these guys enough. They took us pretty far up north and we were treated to 15-18 transient orcas all coming together, jumping and playing. There were 8 of us. 4 adults and 4 kids ranging from 4-12. Cole was our naturalist and both he and our captain new the specific whales and were great with the kids and adults alike. The boats were good size, not too many people, but large enough and very fast to get to farther reaches than may other operations. There is a front open bow deck, top open deck, and inside area with enough seats for everyone onboard, fully glassed. Recommend taking lunch and snacks (we did the 11am 3 1/2 hour tour). Epic day for all.

Very together outfit. Loved our day on their boat traveling through the islands looking for whales in or because of which we found both. The crew was very nice. They had extra jackets for those who wanted to sit up top in the cooler weather. The boat was very comfortable. A great way to spend the day in monks the San Juan Islands.
