My wife and I had a fantastic experience with eclipse charters! They were extremely professional and had not 1 but 2 naturalists on board who were quite knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. The boat was well sized with a warm cabin, binoculars were provided, and a large upper deck for outdoor viewing. We saw a ton of whales! As a bonus we also saw eagles, sea lions and seals. They also dropped a "hydrophone" in the water so we could listen to whale sounds. So cool!!! Would definitely do it again.

This organization is staffed with very friendly and also very knowledgeable people. The boat has an upper deck for 360 degree viewing or you can sit inside (away from the sun and the wind). We saw around 20-30 whales with two of them going right under the boat. We are already planning our trip for next year to use the Orcas island Eclipse Charter again. My girlfriend was able to snap over 100 excellent photos of Orcas. They were awesome.

We were fortunate to take several whale watching trips during our trip to WA & BC, but this was the best of them. The captain, Dan, and the two whale experts Mary and Deb were friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgable. The timing of the trip is arranged conveniently for connections to Orcas Island on the Washington State Ferries. (We got the ferry from Anacortes.) The trip was very smooth and the boat comfortable and spacious enough for everyone to get a great view. We were lucky enough to see many Orcas who were in playful mood, including breaching, tail slapping and spy hopping. We had a fantastic day and I whole-heartedly recommend a whale watching trip with Orcas Island Eclipse Charters.
