Four of us (two couples) took this tour recently. I have lived close to Memphis my whole life but I have never done any kind of tour. Our friends were visiting from out of state and they had never "seen" Memphis. Therefore, I did some Trip Advisor investigating and decided on this tour. I was somewhat apprehensive, but I was very pleased with the whole tour. I called the day ahead to confirm my reservation and pick-up location. However, the morning of the tour, I received a call from the bus driver who arranged to pick us up right in front of the condo building where we were staying. The bus tour was very organized, comfortable, and a very good overview of the downtown area. We even stopped at St. Jude's Hospital complex. Fortunately, I have never been to St. Jude, but I have contributed to them for years. It was a treat to see part of the campus. At 11:30 am we were dropped off on Beale Street to have lunch on our own and told we would be picked up at the same location at 1:30pm to be transported to the Riverboat. We were picked up promptly at 1:30, taken to the boat terminal and allowed on the boat. The guide on the boat was very knowledgeable and taught us all about the river--both past and present. It was a very enjoyable day and I recommend it to anyone wanting to see Memphis.
