My husband and I are experienced kayakers, but like to go on guided tours in unfamiliar areas before we go out alone. This was a great paddle trip for both experienced paddlers and those who have never paddled before. The pace is laid back, as Brent stops along the way to tell you about local flora and fauna. On our morning out (We did the 2.5 hour trip), we saw a few dolphins that came fairly close to some of our group's kayaks. The parts of the trip through the mangrove tunnels is a neat experience, too. There were several water birds...brown pelicans hunting in a group, ibises, great egrets, gray herons, and a little blue heron. An osprey on the nest was along the path we traveled. In the shallow estuary waters we were able to see sea urchins, lots of bivalve shells, and live lightning welks. Your guide also takes HD pics with a good camera throughout the trip, which I appreciate. So much easier than trying to deal with your own phone or camera in a wet environment. The pics are provided to you for no charge by the next day. We enjoyed our time on the water with Paddle Naples!
