The Gypsy Gold Farm

our first forty five minutes is an educational journey conducted by Dennis Thompson, the discoverer and founder of the Gypsy Vanner Horse breed. Dennis and Erin will then introduce you to a Gypsy Vanner stallion and explain the envisioned look and details unique to the Vanner breed. Your second hour is a walk among horse filled paddocks lined with ancient oaks laden with the romantic Spanish moss of the south. On your walk you will meet beautiful stallions and mares and friendly Gypsy Vanner Horse babies. Your Gypsy Gold Farm Tour ends with a picture opportunity with an incredible Gypsy Vanner Horse stallion and a visit to the Gypsy Gold gift shop.

Please meet and talk with Dennis Thompson, the owner and visionary of the Gyspy Gold. He is personable and draws you into his passionate world of the Gypsy Vanner horses. His knowledge of the Gypsy people is unmatched. His life is an unfinished storybook. Talking with Taylor, his 19 year old right hand, added to the personal contact with gentle horses, gentle donkeys and the raucous parrots. Make the trip!

Amazing. A love for horses and keeping a wonderful breed bloodline pure. Educating people about this breed, how it started, where they came from, when, the dream and vision started. Gentle animals with personality and charm. The breeding and care they put forth to protect this breed and grow this breed is priceless. So much history. The owners are friendly, passionate and anxious to teach those who want to know. Highly recommend a tour. You might even walk away with a new love of horses, a love for this breed and a desire to help educate others.

Fabulous visit. Dennis Thompson should write a book as his story is extremely interesting and informative. Walking around the farm was fun. Loved seeing the Gypsy Vanners, the mules, donkeys and goats. It was truly a great time. The horses are magnificent.
