Our tour guide, Preston, was very informative and taught us a lot about the mountain, Maui up-country, and the island in general. Unfortunately, the weather was bad atop the mountain the day we visited, so we didn't get to experience the sunrise or see the crater. Word of advice: Be prepared for cold, wet conditions at the summit, depending on the day/weather. It can be nice at sea level, but the summit can be shrouded in clouds and in its own weather, so be prepared. The breakfast stop was good at a nice up-country lodge with beautiful gardens and views. Learned a lot, but it's a long day.
