Халеакала Мауи Сунрисе Тоур са доручком

Преглед
Witness the dawning of a new day atop Haleakala (the house of the sun) a dormant volcanic mountain overlooking Maui on the east side. Deep canyons and slopes and unspoiled terrain are home to endemic Hawaiian Nene geese and rare Silversword plants.

You'll be transported in a comfortable mini coach to 9,740 feet elevation, close to the summit to witness the ultimate sunrise; a spectacular show of lights and colors. The sunrise tour is an unforgettable experience and a definite must-do on your Hawaii vacation. On the descent, marvel at sprawling scenic views of Kula and the Pacific Ocean on your way to breakfast at local favorite, Cafe O'Lei at the Plantation in Waikapu.

The tour information said to dress in layers and wear closed shoes but it was REALLY cold, windy and a bit rainy on the mountaintop. I had a T shirt, lightweight hoodie and two sweatshirts plus gloves and had my ears covered with hoods, and I was freezing. (I’m from Minnesota and spend a lot of time outdoors but I wasn’t dressed adequately for the weather we encountered.). Wear many layers or bring a light weight down coat and maybe even a blanket if nothing else is available. A wind resistant jacket would be helpful over sweatshirts. Bring mittens or gloves and even a hat or something to cover your ears. The sunrise was beautiful but hard to enjoy because I was so cold. I wanted the sun to come up so I could get out of the weather! Our guide Preston, was very knowledgeable about Maui, and we did see lots of the island on our way down the mountain. The local breakfast was excellent. The macadamia pancakes were the best pancakes I’ve ever had and the server was so nice. It’s a very good tour but plan ahead for it. The gift store at the Haleakala Visitor Center had some nice items. Don’t forget to pick up your “survival” certificate at the center!

Incredible and cold! Memorable and amazing! Gabriel was informative and made the experience comfortable! We live in Washington state and hike our area often. So, Haleakla was right up our alley! Remember a blanket and warm comfortable clothing for the sunrise! Such a great Maui experience! 🤙
