Experience the most amazing views in all of Hawai'i: the sunrise atop Haleakala! After sunrise, you will leisurely ride custom Kona bikes from 6,500 ft. down the mountain for 20 miles of pure joy! We do the Switchbacks twice! before shuttling you down to Makawao to finish the bike ride to Haiku.

• Not be pregnant
• Not weigh over 270 lbs.
• Wear closed-toe shoes

This was a highlight of our vacation! Our guide “Coach” was fabulous, sharing personal stories, Hawaiian history, and information about landmarks along the way in an entertaining and informative way. The sunrise was stunning as was the trip down the mountain. We took our time and made a couple stops including a fun farmers market in the Olinda/Makawao area. My teenage daughter was nervous at first about the descent, but she quickly became comfortable with the bikes and their brakes. When we got down, we wished we could have ridden even longer!

Eddy Buddy was our tour guide to the top of the volcano on the tour bus. He was very enthusiastic and really cautioned us to be very careful on our ride down the volcano. I did this ride 2 days before my elopement and was totally fine. I suggest many many many layers of clothing it is COLD at the top of the volcano and you should wear what you would wear if you were in Colorado during a snow storm (lol). Despite the temperature it is breathtaking to see the volcano at sunrise and such a beautiful ride down, take your time and use your breaks with two fingers on each break. If you can follow this rule, you will have a perfect bike ride and Maui vacation :) Thank you Eddy Buddy!
