I planned a half-day trip for my highly engaged 13-year-old, Salmon-eating son who lives to fish every chance he gets. The entire FishHound team was amazing. Adam helped set up the perfect experience for someone who had never been to Alaska. Kat helped guide us in the final days of preparation as the weather was rapidly changing. Cam batted clean up as our guide and hit it out of the park! Even in a 50-degree Alaska rain, my son and Cam had a blast pulling in salmon, trout, and more. My wife came along as a spectator and had the time of her life - again kudos to Cam for keeping it entertaining.

After spending a week in Alaska and participating in various outdoors activities, this fly fishing trip was my favorite! From the start, our three guides were fantastic teachers; no one in our entire group of 12 people had been fly fishing before. They described the basics as we put on our waders and boots, all of which were provided. After a short hike through the woods, we ended up fishing at a spot on the Little Susitna River in Willow State Recreation Area. The guides were very patient when describing fly fishing techniques, and they were always very excited whenever any of us caught a fish. Many people in our party caught at least one; I caught four fish total (one chum and three pink salmon!). I highly recommend this trip with FishHound Expeditions if you've never gone before!

My son and I did a 2 day Rainbow Trout float trip north of Talkeetna. This was an absolute fantastic experience! Head guide Will was phenomenal! Water was crystal clear and we were on fish the entire 2 days. All fish were catch and release on fly gear. I recommend FishHound's to everyone and will not hesitate to book with them again when we head back to Alaska.
