We have gone on a lot of pub crawls and have loved them. We were excited to go on this one because it’s New Orleans and if anyplace knows it’s alcohol, it’s NOLA. We met in the back room of a bar with dirty tables. The tour guide came in acting as if he was on speed. It was difficult to understand him. He cussed a lot and used the F word like a noun, verb, and adjective. The pub crawl was mainly a walk to nondescript bars where we were told to buy whatever we wanted and then drink on the walk. No special cocktails or anything. Just “get what you want, and oh the hurricane is good”. There were really no good ghost stories, just one disturbing story of a serial killer. That WAS interesting. And the voodoo priest was cool. Quite honestly, we found better cocktails on our own and learned more history on the hop on and hop off bus. Which is worth the money if you want to explore NOLA. Not sure what we paid for because cocktails were not free and the guide got tips. So maybe it was the privilege of booking online??? Bottom line: not worth it.

I never write bad reviews so it pains me to say this. I booked this excursion for me, my husband ,and 5 friends. We all love to drink of course, but how fun would it be to hear some ghost stories and history while we bar hop. Our tour guide took us to 4 bars that were a considerable walking distance from each other. The walk in between each place would not have been bad if the stories were interesting… or made any sense. I think maybe our tour guide was on coke. He was jumping all over the place from story to story and talking at the speed of light with no pause in between sentences. And the worse part is, we only had time to get one drink at each bar bc we had to hurry to go back outside to listen to more stories that no one could understand. The buzz we got from the drink was gone by the time we were finished melting in the humidity and standing in the street for 20 minutes listening to him ramble. A few times we passed other groups, and I could hear the tour guides telling the stories and they sounded really interesting, so it’s a bummer we missed out. I was a waitress for 10 years so I tip no matter what bc it’s just what I do. At the end I gave him a $20 tip from me and my husband, and he said “wow from the whole group, that’s ridiculous”…. I was really annoyed and didn’t bother to correct him bc my friends were standing behind me with their tip money too. So after he realized he was wrong, he tried to say he was just kidding. The whole thing was just a let down. I don’t want to name any names bc I would never want anyone to get in trouble or lose their job. But I would advise anyone looking to book a haunted pub crawl, to book a different company so they can try to avoid this experience all together
