The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Total Tour time 2 hours - 1 hour on the glacier with dogsledding (aprox 30 min sled ride) and 30 min at the lower glacier near the crevasses and blue melt pools. Aprox 30 min of flight seeing total round trip

Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.

Everything! We went dog sledding on Cataract Glacier, which was fun by itself, then landed on the Knik Glacier. We loved playing with the dogs, and Knik Glacier was so pretty with all the blue ice melting pots. We filled our water bottles with water on the glacier. Our pilot was Wyatt, and he played several roles in our tour. He was not only the pilot and tour guide, but also photographer taking really awesome photos of our adventure. And for me, personally, I called him my nurse maid, as I have a slight mobility issue from a recent surgery so he was very helpful in helping me get in and out of the helicopter, and helping me get around on the ice. It was the experience of a lifetime!

This was absolutely a highlight of our visit to Alaska. Everything was fantastic from beginning to end…the helicopter, the pups, the glacier stop and the dog sledding. Everything was exactly as described and we were extra lucky to have amazing weather all led by amazing people!

This was an amazing tour. Chad, our pilot, was informative and made it a once in a lifetime experience. This was the highlight of our time in Alaska!
