The ultimate multi activity package: a helicopter tour, a dogsled tour and a landing on the lower glacier to explore the melt pools and crevasses.

Start this adventure with a spectacular helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with Alaskan sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer long. Take the dog team for an exhilarating dogsled ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team if you want, or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team.

After the tour the helicopter takes you to the lower glaciers where you will land on the hard ice between the crevasses to see the majestic blue melt pools.

Total Tour time 2 hours - 1 hour on the glacier with dogsledding (aprox 30 min sled ride) and 30 min at the lower glacier near the crevasses and blue melt pools. Aprox 30 min of flight seeing total round trip

Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.

What a way to start an Alaskan Adventure! Our pilot, Shane, was the best - he was fun and inspired confidence and went above and beyond to make sure we saw as many things as possible. He pointed out wildlife - bears and mountain sheep and gave us great information on the glaciers. Our trip to the Dog Camp was one of the most fun things we've ever done. It was so interesting to learn about the dogs and how the trainers live. Our Musher, Emily, was so sweet and so much fun and answered all our zillions of questions with such detail. After the dog camo, it was back to the skies and to the glacier pool. I did not realize that these change daily and Shane searches out the best ones to visit. Landing on the ice and getting to go down to the pool and even fill our water bottles and drink it (its delicious) was absolutely amazing. I always thought the colors in pictures must be enhancecd - but no, it is truly that beautiful blue. It was truly a spectacular day and if we ever get back to Alaska, we will be doing this again. It was an experience that we will never forget. Loved every second of the whole day!

We had our 10 yr old grandchild with us. It was an awesome experience for all of us. The mushing was fun, the guide was informative and the landscape views from the helicopter were breath taking. The food at the Raven's Perch, where you check in, is very good.
