I honestly can't recommend this enough. My wife and I did this on our honeymoon and it might well be one of the most enjoyable things we did on the island(though that's a tough call to make to be honest!) Our tour guide - Mateo, was really great and told us a lot about Hawaiian culture, history and the geology of the area. There was some fantastic scenery at the top and it was really fun to climb through the lava tube. I can't recommend this highly enough and if we could've turned round at the end and done it again, we would have.

The Hidden Craters Hike is a once in a lifetime experience. "Hidden" is a very apt word, as we didn't see any other tourists during the entirety of the hike. We felt so honored to be able to visit these set apart educational areas of the island. This tour will forever be in my list of top sites. The Hidden Craters Hike is fun, educational, and beautiful. I understand so much more about the birds, plants, and geology of Hawaii. The tour guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We loved roping down into a lava tube. My 12 year old son was able to do the hike just fine. Also, the Ola Brew tour was a nice way to end the day. I liked the ice tea brewed from coffee leaves.

We had a great experience! Small group with a really cool guide from Missouri. He knew the area and history very well. There is some hiking involved but it's pretty low-impact. Would highly recommend!
