Experience a 100% outside, walking history & ghost tour that brings the spirits of Traverse City to life! This engaging and theatrical outdoor walking tour touches on fascinating history and spooky tales of the ghostly hauntings unfolding in downtown Traverse City.

The tour concludes with an OPTIONAL short introduction to ghost hunting with real ghost hunting equipment! If you do not wish to ghost hunt, no worries-simply walk with your guide to discuss other ghostly topics as we conclude with our last story at Perry Hannah Statue.

This is a 100% outdoor walking tour on sidewalks, dirt paths, and a grassy park lawn.

I don’t even know where to start when it comes to how much I loved this tour. Not only was it educational, but it was FUN. We talked about several different locations— in a historical and/or paranormal sense. We walked a very manageable distance through main street, the park, and the surrounding area. Our tour guide, Des, was personable, emotionally intuitive, and intelligent. When sensitive topics came up, she made sure no one was uncomfortable before speaking. She made sure to wait until all group members were together before continuing on. If someone seemed downtrodden or otherwise, she was there to lift them up without prying or drawing attention to their plight. (She was also very hilarious, and I loved all of the jokes I understood!) The only complaint I have is that I can’t give this experience 10 stars. I wouldn’t want to spend my evening any other way. This is definitely a must for anyone visiting TC.

I want to thank you for this review. I sat in stunned silence for quite a while before I could think of how to respond. I took a screenshot and will carry these thoughtful words with me and every day I will read them to remind me to keep going. I know that in a world of billions, that my tour I crafted and curated as a passion project will not be received by everyone the same way. But you so accurately touched on HOW I want to be with the guests I host on this tour. I didn't think people saw that part of why I am a guide in my beautiful Traverse City. It was supposed to start at 8:30 per my original booking and was changed to 8 pm without telling me. Therefore we did not get to do it and I lost my money. Thanks for nothing.

Dear Guests, Thank you for your feedback. I want to clarify a few points to ensure everyone has the best experience with our tours. Firstly, please make sure to double-check the tour start time listed in your booking confirmation. I run only one Historical Ghost Lantern Tour per night, and spots fill up quickly during summer weekends. I will ALWAYS notify you if there is any change to the tour time. In the case mentioned by Amanda and Brandon, the tour time was never changed. It was scheduled for 8 PM on August 3rd, as confirmed in our logs. It is important to note that no-shows are charged because our tours have limited spots, and I often have a waiting list of eager guests. If you think your party can't make it, please reach out in advance. We can often work out a solution, especially if you give at least 24-hour notice. This allows me to offer your spot to someone on the waiting list. If you arrive late or need to rebook, please communicate with me as soon as possible. I am usually able to accommodate changes if I have some notice. Unfortunately, in the case of Amanda and Brandon, they arrived 30 minutes after the tour started without any prior communication, which limited my ability to assist them. I strive to provide a memorable experience for all our guests. Thank you for understanding the importance of timely communication and punctuality.
