We thought the views were spectacular, but expected more of a tour. The tour person did give some information, but I would say in 2 hours, maybe 10 min. total was an explanation of the area.
The boat moved at a very slow rate...a few people actually fell asleep. We might have but a group of women sitting on the upper deck were talking and laughing and having a wonderful time...glad for them, but a few of them were obnoxiously loud and you couldn't even here the few words that were spoken on the speakers. I heard other people complaining, but nothing was said to them. It is okay to have fun, but how rude to talk when someone is speaking.
Anyway, when they were explaining the buildings, we were riding in the middle of the Hudson and couldn't even see much. Thought we might go up one side and down the other side, a little closer to the shoreline so you could see better, but then don't know what all the depths were.
I should be titled...boat ride, not tour. We were in that area just a couple of days and I felt like if they were a little faster, you could have enjoyed the ride and still leave time to see something else. They said there is so much history in the area, but didn't tell us much of what kind.
