This is a living recreation of the original settlement. The museum, where the tour starts, is excellent. They have many artifacts on display recovered from the original site as well as a lengthy history of Jamestown. Venturing outside takes you to the mock forts and three replica ships that can also be toured. We visited this settlement first, then visited the original Jamestown settlement. In essence, there are two Jamestown sites that can be toured. We’d highly recommend both. We don’t think it matters which site you visit first. If possible, try to visit on a cool, low humidity day.

Really well put together museum and reenactors. Really friendly workers here. Cool ships to get on and learn about. The Indian village and fort were great. Really enjoyed learning about the area life at the time. Displays were very interesting.

The exhibits were very nice - great videos, lovely reproductions and some real artifacts. The recreations of the Native American village, European boats, and the Jamestown Settlement were well done. The actors in costume were knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed ourselves a lot!
