I signed up for the ride solo - I didn't know a soul but I gained 17 new friends on this ride! Luke, Mark and Dennis were super knowledgeable about the trail and super helpful every step of the way. Their fun spirit helped to create a relaxed and fun environment for our group of riders - we all had a blast! The ride was harder than I anticipated (mostly day #1) but definitely much more fun than I expected! The accommodations were great - mostly unique historic hotels but we did enjoy one night at a beautiful new hotel! I highly recommend Crossroads Tours!

Crossroads Tours offers comprehensive information and support services backed by extensive knowledge, experience, and local area networking/rapport. This was subsequently reinforced by Luke’s great customer service; altogether, providing a solid level of comfort going into the 6-day self-guided cycling adventure. The Katy Trail is a spectacular avenue of natural scenic beauty and historical structures. The trail is mostly hard packed crushed stone that is well maintained. Rainy weather created a 1/2 mile stretch that needed to be detoured around on an adjacent service road. Wet weather also caused several portions of the trail to become a bit spongy to peddle through, but certainly not impossible. The overnight accommodations were incredible - well preserved, finely adorned historic hotels/BnB’s. It’s a fabulous cycling adventure overall.

About 75% of the trail was canopied and the air was cool. The lodging was more than I expected and the whole process of transporting us from St. Charles to the Clinton TH was easy and comfortable. It was such a great trip. I left my money pouch in the breakfast room of the hotel in Hermann and didn't discover it was missing until I was just a few miles from Augusta. I called the hotel and they had given it to Luke (Director of Fun). Not once did I panic because I knew it was in good hands. He got it to my bed and breakfast in Augusta in a sealed envelope shortly after I arrived there. Excellent service and I was very grateful.
