Please look at our Departure and Return instructions before your trip with us. If you have any questions please reach out before you dock in town. We will pick you up at the excursion hub which is by the bottom of the zipline by the green gondola. Also do not go the kayak center. There are two kayak business in town.

Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

We did this kayak trip in Icy Strait Point. It was a great way to see the area and enjoy the beauty around us. The guides made sure we were comfortable in the kayaks and even had waterproof bags and cases for phones to use if desired. They provided a nice snack on the water and a chance to see (and hold if you wanted) a big crab. Dave, our main guide, had lots of stories to tell which made the trip even more enjoyable. They even had a photographer out there to take some pictures, and we were emailed them to download for free. What a very nice perk. Thank you!

We had a perfect day on the water. The guides got us all safely in the kayaks with spray skirts. Lots of good information about the area was given during the tour. The safety boat took photos wich were emailed to us afterward. At out snack break we got to hold a Dungeness crab.

What a fun time! Fairweather Kayaks is a down to earth laid back close knit group that made our time on the water extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend taking this tour. They keep it to a very small group. Did not feel like the big tour operations. Dave was awesome, although he has a fisherman’s mouth….tall tales, can’t believe everything he said, which made our time even more enjoyable. After our tour, get a meal from Oso Gordito, the local food truck, good food! Thanks Fairweather for a great time!!!
