Captain Steve should be a narrator for the National Geographic Channel.
We enjoyed this tour a great deal. Seas were very mild and the mid May sunny day was wonderful. The ship was a large catamaran that if not new was newly painted and was fast yet smooth on the mild 2-3 foot swells. Overall it was a great experience.
There were about 95 passengers onboard and everyone had a good seat if they wanted one but most stood for much of the voyage when we were moving slow or observing wildlife nearby.
We saw amazing scenery, large, calving glaciers, several humpback whales, dozens of sunning sea lions, a few bald eagles and countless other birds etc. We also saw two bears.
Captain Steve did a fantastic job narrating during much of the trip and positioning the ship where everyone had a chance for good photos and viewing. The attending crew did a very good job also keeping a check on everyone, serving lunch, safety brief and even bringing a pretty large chunk of glacier ice onboard for photo ops.
The chicken wrap and snack lunch was served on the initial ride out and was tasty. Other options including coffee, soft drinks, hot chocolate and other choices for sale. 3 onboard bathrooms (heads) were very clean and well maintained.
The entire route was very scenic and very enjoyable. The boat has two decks, each providing plenty of outside and inside viewing space. Some seating was available outside in the rear but most is inside and comfortable.
We would definitely recommend this tour and company.
