Great overall trip! I went with 2 young children (10 and 7). The people at the Sundiver store were extremely helpful and made us feel comfortable snorkeling in the ocean with inexperienced young kids. Everything was as advertised. The boat crew was great. They gave tons of great tips and help. They helped with gear at the dive site and made sure everyone was comfortable getting in the water. This is a highly recommended tour, especially for those people with less experience.

The advertising price is $34.99 but by the time you pay for all the gear you need and the upsale on certain items, you end up paying more like $60. Pp. Don't waste your money on the water proof pouch for your phone to take pictures. I might advise buying the mouthpiece you breath through before you go. I actuallly watched the crew put the equipment away when we boarded the boat after snorkeling and none o fit was washed. I was rinsed in a 55 gallon barrel in clear water. No sanitation. The life jackets are blow up style and none of them were even rinsed off. Snorkeling was difficult because the water was rough the day I went and in my opinion not worth the fight to get to the reef location. Water was not clear and views were not that great. If you decide to go, swim outside of the center of the location they take you. The chances of seeing some true sea life are better. Overall the tour was a bust for me and my travel buddy. We snorkeled in different locations and neither of us were impressed.

We take all reviews giving us only 1 star very personal and try to address any problems our customers bring to our attention to improve the snorkel experience. I have to say, after reading your review, it sounds like you are mostly unhappy with the weather conditions that day. Your criticism of our “advertising” price being misleading is totally inaccurate. We state our prices very openly on our website and all our advertising. YES, we offer a set rate for a snorkeler to board the boat and go snorkeling with us. This price is for the snorkel ticket. If our customer already has their own gear, which many do, then that is the only price they pay. If you need to rent gear, we offer a rental set for $8 which includes mask, snorkel and fins. Our rental gear is the highest quality snorkel gear available. You bash us for “up-selling” ? Really. We are a business just like any other business that offers a product or service and also offers additional products to make their trip more enjoyable. We offer items like towels, sun tan lotion, shirts, hats, sunglasses. Basically items forgotten but might be needed to make your snorkel trip more enjoyable. We “offer” these items for sale, but don’t force you to buy anything nor do we do it in a “shady” way. We welcome our customers to bring their own if they have it. No problem. Yes we offer these things for sale to our customers. How are we bad because of that? The next thing you bash us for in your review doesn’t even sound like us. Did you go with Sundiver ? You mention in your review to buy a “mouth piece” for the snorkel. We don’t even offer the “mouthpiece” option; one of our competitors in town offers this which makes me really wonder about this review. We offer a brand new snorkeler for people who don’t have their own and don’t want to rent a used one. That’s fine; some people prefer to have a new one so we offer a really good snorkel for $10. I am really upset how you basically lied and said we don’t give any sanitation to the gear. The giant 55 gallon bucket you mentioned actually contains bleach and another disinfectant. We have used this solution since 1980 and it has always worked perfect. The mates will rinse the gear off after every use and at the end of the day all great gets rinsed a second time. Our mates take pride in keeping the gear clean and sanitary. The life jackets are rinsed off after each use also. Some mates will clean them on the way back to shore and other will wait and do it once at shore. I promise you, our rental gear gets sanitized properly. We offer our customers three options. (1) You can either bring your own gear, or (2) rent gear from us for $8 for the entire set, or (3) we offer brand new snorkels for sale for $10. I hope I have answered some questions for you. Again, It sounds like the weather was not perfect but these other complaints are simply untrue. We have been a family owned and operated business since 1980 and take bad reviews like this very serious and like to learn from any mistakes we might have made but this review is just untrue and to be honest the authenticity of this review is questionable...

We had a great time snorkeling with Sundiver Snorkeling Tours. (Better than when we went through John Pennekamp State Park a few years ago). Their wet suit rental was only $10 each which was much more reasonable than most other snorkeling tour places.
