I had traveled solo to KW and felt this would be a great way to get in the water without having a travel companion. Yup, that did happen, about 45 minutes of snorkeling. A storm hit us as we arrived at the reef, pouring down rain the whole time we were in the water. No big deal - you are in the water already - but it was rather choppy and visibility was poor. Not much to look at. Disappointing! This is no fault of Sebago; weather happens. However, shortly after arriving to our spot, another group tied up literally right next to us. So now we were just bumping into the other 30 snorkelers from that boat. Ridiculous! Poor planning Sebago. At a minimum, stagger the tour arrival times.
On board, the crew interacted only with some of the patrons, ignoring myself and a few other groups. I had mentioned to the captain I felt abit nauseous from the choppy waters. I was offered a gingerale and warned to stay at the back of the boat if I felt I was to get sick. No one asked how I was doing, offered me another gingerale, or even made helpful suggestions, such as focus on the horizon. The head smelled as if it made not been cleaned in days, which in itself, almost made me sick. Mind you, I do not become seasick easily. Again, not the company's fault that I did not feel well, but how they responded, or lack of, is a reflection of their business practice. Get them in and out quickly to board next tour. Not a recommendation from me.
