None of your friends and family want to go fishing with you? Don't have to be "the one" who reels it in but want to enjoy an inexpensive day on the water? A shared charter is for you. This is a per person deal with six guests maximum per trip. Experience being out on the water at a fraction of the cost with an equal opportunity to catch a fish. Learn about the history and culture of the island from the friendly captain and crew and relax on the boat and wait to see if a marlin, yellow fin tuna, mahimahi or spearfish bite.

Bite Me Sportfishing operates multiple vessels. Due to booking minimums and unforeseen circumstances you may be moved to another boat other than the one you were confirmed on.

Three days ago, my boys and I went on the morning charter with Captain Shawn and Daron on Bite Me 4 out of Kona. We had such a good time that we booked them for the evening charter that same day! They are 2 genuinely kind people, and they put you on the fish. Their knowledge and desire to put a smile on their guests’ faces guarantee a great experience. We would have had fun without catching anything, but we have 2 Blue Marlin going on the wall!! Thank you for the lifelong memories.

Highly recommend contacting BiteMe fishing tours. They are a great group and will treat you fair. Also, remember, it is Fishing, so you may not catch anything and it’s NOT their fault.

We booked a morning half day shared charter with Bite Me and had a blast!! We met captain Andy at 0630 and were quickly boarded and underway. The friendly no nonsense crew headed directly to the baitfish area as we enjoyed our coffee, a granola bar and the beautiful Hawaiian sunrise. As a shared charter you never know who you will fish with and this morning it was a father with two young boys and a single gentleman. I have been on many charters and appreciated that the crew did not waste time (only a 4 hour trip) allowing the guests to try and catch bait. They picked up a few small mackerel and immediately began trolling as we headed for deeper water. To keep everything fair they numbered the poles and assigned everyone a number. Luck was with us as number four hooked up and the game was on. My wife took the fighting chair and with the expert coaching of captain Andy (The first-mate had the helm when we hooked up) landed a 74 inch spearfish. A few photos later and we were placing steak filets in the cooler. We offered the other guests some filets and an opportunity to take photos with the fish (unfortunately, the only hook-up that morning). Back in the harbor we grabbed 6 meals of spearfish steaks (we were staying at an air B&B and wanted to eat fresh fish all week). Tips: Book a private charter if you have more than 3 people. Be prepared to enjoy a morning on the water and not necessarily catch a fish (this is only a 4 hour trip) set reasonable expectations. Bring a coffee, bars for breakfast and your camera. They have ice to keep cool drinks and snacks but time is pretty short…. Tip your crew well. This company was professional and competent I would book with them again anytime. Highly recommend!!
