Our meeting time of 8:30 is the optimal time as we are one of the first to get on and usually get back before the strong afternoon winds pick up. Kayaking on lake Yellowstone on a old volcano is truly one of the top five things to do while in the park. With our small group tours we are able to personalize the tour and really show our guests this place in a unique way. All of our kayaks have a rudders which is very important on windy days and is a great way to steer with ease. Our naturalist guides/level 3 ACA certified trip leaders are in the top of their field and have years of experience, this helps when talking about Yellowstone as a naturalist and safety as a seasoned guide. Kayaking past the west thumb geyser and Potts geyser basin is a truly special way see this area of Yellowstone lakes thermal features, With our fast and stable kayaks we are able to cover more ground safety to optimize guests overall experience

My family and I absolutely loved our kayaking adventure with Quintin. They’ll adjusted to your level of expertise (none of us had ever kayaked) and Quintin was patient enough to help a family member overcome the nerves of kayaking for the first time! The destination was West Thumb Geyser Basin, but due to our lack of speed we did not reach our final destination although, we got an excellent view of it! Even then the trip was such a blast! Quintin is an excellent and educational guide with an amazing personality! If we ever came to Yellowstone we would 100% do this experience again! The views are amazing and even though it was our first time we could've stayed there forever!

Quinton and Phil, our guides for this adventure, went out of their way to make this experience amazing! We were novice kayakers and they made sure we were comfortable at every step. Plus, Yellowstone Lake is gorgeous and seeing it while on the water made the entire experience memorable! Would highly recommend this to anyone!

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Communication was excellent. The guides were so friendly. We were fortunate to have Ted as our guide. He knew everything about the flora, fauna, and geothermal features around Lake Yellowstone, and he added jokes and trivia, too! Four hours flew by. We would highly recommend Shurr Adventures.
