Went here because we love the Laura Ingalls books and Little House on the Prarie series. First, we saw the museum. Had a 15 min film about Laura and family, then went into the museum. Very interesting and lots to read and see. Had a nice gift shop on the way out. Then walked up the hill to the house. If walking is difficult, you can drive over and there is a little parking lot. Beautiful house and grounds and very well kept. We took a tour of the house. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Amazing history and stories. Then drove over to the Rock House which is the house Laura had built for her parents. Little more modern house for the time, but her parents stayed there for a while until their death. Took a tour of that house as well. Very interesting. They are buried in the cemetary in town, but we did not see that. It is in Mansfield which is about 1 1/2 hour drive from Branson, but if you liked Laura Ingalls and all the books and tv shows, it is well worth the trip out there.
