My 7 year old Lego fan had a lot of fun here. He traded mini figs, and had fun on the rides and play areas. He really enjoyed this Ninjago play area where you could play"tag" with these light-up posts. He would give it five stars.
But I'm only calling it good as:
- We expected expensive food and drinks; we took the advice to bring and fill our own water bottles, but most of the refill stations barely work, so you end up taking five minutes to fill a 20 oz bottle
- We got food from Royal Feast; you had to order online, and you couldn't customize anything (eg, can't ask for no cheese on the cheeseburger or no hot honey on the fried chicken sandwich); the online ordering and confirmation process also has room for improvement (but that's a full review in itself)
- The highlight of the factory tour ride was the A/C; the feature where you're supposed to be turned into a minifigure didn't work, and the rest of the ride seemed disjointed
- Rides are short; a lot of time getting people on/off (including measuring kids, which seems could be done once at the front gate with a colored wristband system)
- You give them all this information to access their wifi; only for it to constantly disconnect
- Their systems aren't integrated; between buying tickets, getting wifi, ordering food, paying for parking, I ended up having to type my address, phone, email, etc. four times; it's minor, but takes away from the overall experience
So a good experience, I'm sure we'll be back, but room for improvement.
