The Lower New is the perfect first-time rafting trip balancing adrenaline and fun. Riverside lunch and equipment included. Minimum of 2 guests required to book. Maximum 8 guests per raft.

Овде ћете проћи кроз неколико брзака оцењених класом ИИИ-В. Између брзака има времена за пливање, плутање и можда (на основу водостаја) скакање са стена. Путовање се завршава непосредно поред моста Нев Ривер Горге.

Adventures on the Gorge

Meet your rafting trip leader at the departure point. You will listen to a brief orientation and get your gear (personal flotation device, helmet and paddle). Then, you will have a 30-minute ride on a school bus down to the river put-in. Your guide will go over additional instructions once you get in the raft. The trip begins with a few smaller class I-III rapids as you ease into paddling and working as a team. Then, you hit some bigger rapids rated class IV-V. About half way through the trip, your trip will pull over and eat a deli-style lunch on the shore. After lunch, you will continue downstream into the heart of the Gorge. Here you’ll go through several rapids rated class III-V. Between rapids, there is time for swimming, floating and maybe (based on water levels) jumping off of rocks. The trip ends just past the New River Gorge Bridge.

A fun trip for beginners. Experience can vary depending on river conditions. We had a nice mix of adventure and relaxing. Knowledgeable and friendly guides. Great view of the famous bridge.

Scott was our guide on our lower New River rafting trip, and he was fantastic! He gave us details of the history of the area along the way and told us some great jokes! He made our daughter’s 14th birthday extra special by letting her sit in the front of the raft and having her stand up through some milder rapids. The lunch was great too! I highly recommend this trip!!

Amazing trip - friendly and knowledgeable guides, fun and exciting time on the water... from start to finish AOTG provided a wonderful experience. Watching the video of the trip at Chetty’s Pub afterwards was such a great way to end the day. Would absolutely go again on this or a different rafting trip. Amanda was a super cool guide and Ark was a solid trip lead.
