Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, or sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

We have a big facility with picnic tables and a food truck, plenty of parking. We are located by the Pigeon river and there is a campground right next to us.

Smoky Mountain Outdoors Rafting

The River Outpost is where all customers check in to go down the river. Everyone needs to show up 45 minutes before there schedule time in order to check in.

Well run operation. Our guide, Chike was amazing---very knowledgeable, safe, in charge but not egotistical, related well to all ages, very helpful with my mobility issues. I was very happy that the lower river rafting included some easy rapids. The scenery was beautiful. Our family of 20 (variety of ages and athleticism, half on the upper and half on the lower river) was thrilled with the experience!

Nylah was very experienced and made even the non swimmers feel safe. It was our favorite part of the trip!! It’s beautiful and was so much fun for all!! She was exceptional with our nervous son who has autism and he had a blast. We will definitely do again!!!
