Dom, a Brooklyn-native, took my brother, my father and me on a topnotch, one-of-a-kind look at the neighborhood of Red Hook and its local artisans and merchants. We popped into a winery, a distillery, a metal-working shop, a printing press, a pie store, and more. At each location Dom has fostered personal relationships with the artists and owners, all of whom were friendly and happy to take time out of their days to chat and answer questions. Between stops you get to enjoy a little light walking and chatting with Dom, who was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with, not only knowledgable about all things Brooklyn and NY, but a genuinely friendly, nice guy, and very flexible based on our interests and what we wanted to do with our time in Red Hook. My only regret is that we didn't sign up for his Bensonhurst tour, as this is the neighborhood where he was born and raised; I imagine that particular tour must be incredible. I can't recommend Made in Brooklyn enough.
