Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

Went out for the 730p Manta trip with 5 adults and 4 kids this past wednesday. Phenomenal trip, professional experience and the pictures and video we got were awesome. Couldn't ask for a better experience. And the smaller boat is definitely the way to go.

Our group of 4 adventuresome and well travelled ladies had the time of our lives. I’m sure the 7:30 pm trip is just as magical, but I suggest the 4:30pm because you get to do additional snorkeling and see the gorgeous Hawaiian sunset. We even saw a rainbow! Dylan and the entire staff are consummate professionals and you would think that each has a degree in marine biology, which they indeed may have. No doubt they love their job and that makes it even more fun and exciting! It is also important to note that they have a boat that only takes 12 rather than hordes of people. That way, you have a more intimate experience with the majestic, amazing, magnificent mantas. I can’t wait to go back with my husband and children!

We could not have asked for a better experience! We were loaded onto our boat by a friendly crew. They seemed to know exactly where to park in an often crowded hot spot for manta sightings that enabled us to easily and safely snorkel while we waited for the sun to set. One it was dark we were guided to a light-up board and pulled out to a spot in the open water while we waited for the plankton to build up. Before we knew it the mantas arrived. It was incredible to see these large, gentle creatures swim and roll through the water in search of plankton. Our guides made sure we were in the right spot at all times. The mantas light up under the board creating a beautiful scene. I highly recommend this trip with this provider. We had 8-15 year olds and adults - enjoyed easily by all!
