For snorkelers, we will be floating on the surface as a group on our custom built board with spotlights pointing down on these creatures swimming below. Watch as these beautiful creatures glide beneath you, performing somersaults and spins. For the certified divers, this is a really easy night dive, we will mostly be kneeling in the sand at the bottom of the ocean no deeper then 30 feet with lights above and around us.

This adventure includes all gear (mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit if requested), snacks, beverages and a delicious lunch. Also provided sunscreen and towels.

Snorkeling with the manta rays was one of the highlights of my vacation -- just an incredible experience having them swim up so close! I learned a lot about mantas from our crew of Aaron, Captain Nate and Dive Nate. Aaron especially made a point of engaging everyone and sharing his interest and respect for ocean life. I would definitely do this again with KOA.

Night snorkel with my 9 yo and 13 yo for an amazing experience. The dynamic duo of Aaron and Chad were fantastic in providing Manta Ray background, took care of us during the tour with clear direction and had great energy and passion for the ocean and all its creatures. We saw so many Mantas and they were up close and personal to us... amazing to see these beautiful creatures and a one of a kind experience. Highly recommend!

Kona Ocean Adventures gave me and my friends the swim of a lifetime! Laura and Po’oi were very professional, fun, and hospitable. The safety and well-being of the manta rays and other sea life was always emphasized as much as our own, which helped reassure us that we booked with a reputable and animal conscious company. We had the most amazing time and saw several manta rays. What a magical experience it was to watch them swim and do barrel rolls below us! After our swim, Laura and Po’oi provided snacks and a towel as we headed back to the marina. Please know before booking that all passengers in your party MUST be able to float or should at the very least ask the crew for a floatation device to help you stay afloat. One passenger in our tour group repeatedly kicked around below our board, making it harder to allow the manta rays close to our board and nearly hit them on several occasions. Don’t be that guy! Thank you, Kona Ocean Adventures for a magical experience we will never forget!
