If you're going to Anchorage, you better be ready for some cold and snow. And if you're ready for that, why not go hike around on a glacier! Bill and Sydney were awesome guides, wrangling us tourist-cats and keeping us on track (and safe) while having fun with us at the same time. Having taken this tour in the winter, we are able to walk across the froze lakes right up to the front of the glacier. We had the chance to explore 4 to 5 "features" and fully take in the experience. Because the glacier is constantly changing, no two days are the same so every tour has a unique experience. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Anchorage!

The Matanuska Glacier Tour was absolutely incredible. Bill and Dawn were amazing guides for the day and this experience truly made my brief trip to Anchorage for a conference even more memorable. From the beautiful, scenic drive with great information about the area shared along the way to the hours we spent hiking and exploring in the snow and ice to the great meal we shared with our group after, it really was a perfect day. I also had a Northern Lights Tour booked with Greatland Adventures that was canceled for my two available nights due to weather conditions, but they did a great job communicating about the weather/cancelations. I will definitely use Greatland Adventures again when I return to Alaska, and I would especially love to do the Matanuska Glacier Tour again during summer to see the differences between the seasons.

Even with temperatures below zero this trip was just amazing. The glacier is just jawdropping, and the tour guide, Bill, had a wealth of knowledge to share and was a great host. Would definitely recommend!

It is a visceral experience to be out exploring ancient glacier ice in below 0F temps. Our included warm winter gear allows you to really soak in the experience in comfort. Thank you for sharing your experience with others. It was a pleasure to be a part of your day.
