Wow… this was a rare opportunity to experience Mauna Kea Summit on a clear night without wind or light from the moon. Truly amazing! Even saw the Milky Way! Our enthusiastic and experienced guide Zak and his associate Mitch shared delightful stories and extensive knowledge of the constellations along with a safe and comfortable travel.

Our guides Zach and Mitch were great tour guides. We had plenty of time to watch the sunset and stargazing. They provided us with very warm jackets and they were very knowledgeable about Mauna Kea, the telescopes and the stars. The tour was very well organized, including snacks to prevent altitude sickness and a break at the visitor center on the way up to the top to acclimate. The day after, they send you a picture of your group with the stars and pictures of the sky taken from the telescope.

Zack and Mitch were terrific! You can tell they love what they are doing. We had a great time viewing the stars. It was truly amazing to see so many stars. They took time to show us nebulas through the telescope and talked about the stars. They took great care of us by getting us up and down the mountain and made sure that we didn’t experience altitude sickness. I highly recommend this tour!! It is worth every penny!!
