This 7.5 to 8 hour excursion is ideal for the traveler who is looking to discover all of what Prince William Sound has to offer – amazing glaciers and exciting wildlife.  On this tour you will visit the face of Meares Glacier and have ample time to spend with the wildlife seen along the journey.  Often spotted are seals, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, eagles, whales, porpoise and more!

At first we thought the 8 hour trip to the Meares Glacier would be too long. I was wrong! It was wonderful and the time went fast. The crew were very friendly and nice. The captain was very informative. We saw a couple of humpback whales which he hung out for awhile so we could watch them. Saw most of the birds on their brochure. At the end the captain went into a cove after spotting a black bear and cub. He wasn't in any hurry to leave a spot if there was something of interest. The Meares Glacier was beautiful and worth the trip out. We spent a long time at the glacier. The grilled chicken breast for lunch wasn't over cooked and dry. The soup on the way back was very tasty. I would highly recommend this trip and company.

What a great day on the water! Ships are very well maintained and knowledgeable staff. Free coffee, water and lemonade. We had a great lunch served of chicken over rice. We were able to see great wild life from bears to whales and more. The Glacier was wonderful we were able to get very close to the face and was fantastic. On the cruise back we were served and nice bowl of clam chowder. One of the beat cruises I have been on in Alaska!

My husband and I had booked the Columbia Glacier cruise, but when arrived at our RV park the day prior to our departure we were told that there was mechanical trouble with the ship and we had been upgraded to the Meares Glacier tour at no cost to us. This was a longer tour with lunch and an afternoon snack. The cruise company picked us up in the morning and the check in was easy. The day was spectacular and the Captain was so informative and very accommodating in course changes, slowing, or stopping to give everyone a great view of wildlife and of course the gorgeous views. She made a short excursion into the bay of the Columbia Glacier which was littered with icebergs of various sizes. I later talked to a man who had gone on the Columbia Glacier tour the previous day and due to the number if icebergs they were unable to even get close enough to see the glacier. Climate change is very real! I would highly recommend this company and this tour.
