Have a great time in Atlanta’s thriving foodie scene on an fun walking food tour complete with alcohol/food pairings and eat like a local at well-known establishments and hidden gems. Our small groups of 4-15 guests create an intimate, boutique experience (leave the herding to the farmers!) and get you closer to your entertaining foodie host, restaurant partners and your fellow food enthusiasts. Dine on a mix of Southern classics and cuisine unique to beloved Midtown. The progressive meal is enough for lunch or dinner with the added benefit of learning Atlanta's history and local tidbits that will make you feel more acquainted to Atlanta in a short 3 1/2 hours.

Start your Atlanta visit here. The food tastes as good as it looks and the drink pairings are interesting, served with historic commentary and a sense of humor. John does this Midtown food tour RIGHT and he is a wealth of information to make the rest of your stay interesting and tasty. All of his recommendations were spot on. Best food tour I've ever taken.

K. - Thanks for the fabulous review! Your California "gang" was ready for some fun...and you all were certainly a treat to have on a Tour! Some historical context to my neighborhood, a whole lot of food and drinks, and then even more suggestions of how to maximize the rest of your visit to Atlanta. Oh...then there was that pretty pink bag of treats for later!! My only regret was that I hadn't spoken with C. earlier on and helped with the choice of lodging! I'm sure I could have steered you all to something more "walking every day" vs "driving every day". Just another reason to come back to Atlanta! Big city! Lots of options! My best to you...and all of your "gang"! John

Flew into Atlanta and straight into the tour (thank you John for being so accommodating with the start time, really didn't want to miss this!). A great way to start our trip with some fantastic insight into the best places to eat, visit and see. Great food and locations and a great host. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Atlanta

N. - Thanks for letting my TA readers know how easy it was to go directly from the plane to a Food Tour! Ha! A couple of phone calls! A minor adjustment in the start time! And then we all headed off for a grand time of "tasting and sipping" in my neighborhood. Lots of food! Lots of fun! When I tell folks that they should schedule a food tour the first day of their Atlanta visit (or any city visit!), actually getting off the plane and heading immediately to the starting point....well...that's pretty extreme...but loads of fun!! Jeri and I have done the same thing on a couple of trips! My suggestion?? Do it again!! My best to you both! John

We visited Atlanta as the first step on our honeymoon earlier this month and decided to book this food tour. It was excellent! John was very knowledgeable about the Midtown area (he clearly dines out frequently!) and engaged the whole group. We had a variety of food (and plenty of it), all of which was excellent. We also felt that the tour gave us a really flavour for the Midtown area (no pun intended!) and helped us get our bearings. I would 100% recommend this tour.

Ha! Lindsay, I love your quote, "he clearly dines out frequently!" That brought a big smile from my sweet Jeri and a big laugh out of me! We affectionately refer to all our dining out (we do have 60+ choices within walking distance!) as "research". Yep! A lot of research required in this job! I love my Midtown Atlanta neighborhood and to show it off to folks from the UK...and honeymooners!...was a real treat, indeed! I rarely ask my guests which "taste" was their favorite but I'm guessing that for you two the "World's Best Burger" was a big hit! When you holiday in the States next time, give me some warning and I'll send some suggestions that will put Atlanta back on your "Must Do" list. My best to you both! John
