Castle Valley is the poster child for western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a movie, TV show, or commercial. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful red-rock canyon. As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall.

You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

We had an enjoyable float down the Colorado River with river guide Robby. Though my husband and I are seasoned river rafters (Arkansas, Rio Grande), this was our son's first time. We appreciated the pairing with another family of teenagers, which turned a good experience into a great one for him. He will remember swimming in the Colorado River through Castle Canyon his whole life.

We had such a great day! Namy was our guide and she was so fun, knowledgeable, and all around amazing! Rafting was the perfect activity on a hot Moab day and the views are incredible!
