Castle Valley is the poster child for western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a movie, TV show, or commercial. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful red-rock canyon. As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall.

You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

Mild to Wild whitewater rafting did not disappoint. I was worried that the water levels would be lower in July or boring for the kids (ages 13 and 14), but the rapids were just right and my family of four had a blast. Sean was our guide and he did a fantastic job entertaining us with facts and details about the area while keeping us safe and engaged. I loved being able to also take an overboard dip while floating down the calmer parts of the river. Highly recommend this!

We had an amazing day with Emily from Mild to Wild. We also had a great family from Miami on our boat which made the experience fun. The Crew from mild to wild were very informative and also had our safety as their number one concern. We would highly recommend
