Castle Valley is the poster child for Western landscapes, and you’ve probably already seen it somewhere in a John Wayne movie, TV show, or a commercial or two. And if somehow you have, in fact, never laid eyes on Castle Valley before, you’re not going forget it once you do!

This serene section of the Colorado River moseys through a big beautiful valley lined with monuments. Along the way are some of Utah’s most impressive geologic features like Fisher Towers, Castleton Tower, the Priest and Nuns, and more.

As for the waters here along the Colorado River, it stays pretty warm from late spring to early fall. You’ll spend most of your time floating, with a few Class II rapids to cool you off along the way. Expect plenty of fascinating interpretations and fun stories from your river guide on this mild trip!

This was such a great experience for our family of 5. Gavin and his crew were awesome - very professional, engaged, knowledgeable and fun. As first time rafters he made us feel extremely safe and we all had a blast. The morning trip was mostly calm with a few exciting & fun rapids. We all had a float in the river amidst the spectacular scenery. We can't wait to come back and do a longer trip with Mild to Wild. Highly recommend!!

I was a little intimidated booking our first rafting trip WITH kids (aged 8 and 11) but they absolutely loved it! Our guide, Maya S was patient and inviting of the kids, played many fun games with them and allowed them to row during down time. The other guides were super informative and made you feel well prepared before getting on the water. A side note I was not prepared for was the amount of mud that goes in the rafts. Our mesh bag became pretty muddy, thus muddy mouth pieces on all of our waterbottles. I would recommend a closed bag or purchasing some of their dry-bags in their shop!
