My husband & I enjoyed our 5th flight with Hot Air Expeditions in February 2018. As with the prior 4 flights, each of them have been wonderful & fully met our expectations! We have had different pilots on each of our flights, & each of the pilots have been friendly & informative. On this most recent flight, our pilot was Pilot Al. Throughout our flight, he told us about the area, what we were looking at, & how high we were. On this flight,, which was a sunrise flight, we reached a height of appox 1500 ft. We were up in the air for about 70 minutes. We’ve been told that the typical flight is around 45-60 minutes...much of that is weather contingent. Morning flights tend to be longer in general due to more stable weather conditions. We made our flight reservations about 1 week in advance. If you're a prior customer of Hot Air Expeditions, they'll give you a discount on your future flights. After the departure from the Deer Valley Airport, your driver will take you to the selected balloon launch site in the N/NW Phoenix metro (based on weather conditions that day -- we have launched from 4 different launch sites out of the 5 times we've ballooned with them). Prior to your balloon launch, your pilot will give you various safety guidelines for a safe & fun flight. Our launch & landing in each of our 5 flights have been very smooth... At no time have we felt unsafe. I am afraid of heights, but ballooning is absolutely awesome! It's truly amazing how peaceful & serene the world seems when you're floating thousands of feet up! After your balloon lands, you will be treated to champagne (or a non-alcoholic beverage) & various goodies from French restaurant Vincent's on Camelback. We were back to the Deer Valley Airport at slightly after 11:00 AM. We very much look forward to flying again with Hot Air Expeditions! Thanks Pilot Al!

Greetings Taryn! Wow, what a thoughtful review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your 5th flight as much as the previous 4. We could not have described what we do near as well as you did. We did the Sunset Balloon ride with Hot Air Expeditions last Thursday, Feb 24th. It was the most amazing, fun, NON scary, exciting adventure and we would do it again in a heart beat! From the beginning to the very end it was top notch in safety and fun. We had their biggest balloon and basket - it held 21 people but we had 18 people in it. Al, our pilot, was so knowledgable, funny and gave us a perfect ride with a perfect landing. Our shuttle driver and balloon launch/land guy, Frank, was also wonderful and made it a really memorable experience. The brunch afterwards in the desert was just so much great too. To stand out there in the desert just a ways away from where we landed and toast with our group/pilot was so cool. Al and Frank are an awesome duo as are the other guys that helped but I don't know their names except Nick. We came home with t shirts, champagne glasses, a certificate and memories to last a lifetime. I couldn't be happier we did this. DO NOT HESITATE.......Go up with this company and you'll have wonderful memories as well. THANK YOU, Hot Air Expeditions - you made our vacation so very special.

Linda L. We have so many people that are a bit nervous when we talk about a basket that can hold up to 21 people. We are thrilled to hear from you and put everyone's mind to rest. I will make sure to let Al know that he did such a wonderful job. He, Frank and Nick truly work well together, along with the rest of our crew. If we helped you have such an exceptional vacation, then we have done our jobs. For without our passengers, we don't get to go up,up and away. We hope to see you again.

We pay for transportation, there we were early in the morning but no one pick us up, when we call them, they said they have no pick up for us... and then we have to call another phone number for the cancelation because they could not get to us on time

Nothing saddens us more than not meeting customer expectations, as we are in business to leave our guests with smiling faces and memories to last a lifetime. Unfortunately, as we discussed, somehow your transportation details slipped through the cracks, and we are deeply apologetic.
