This was a great way to see the sights and a well planned day. Comfortable, the right amount of time at each sight and certainly better to sit back and let someone else drive. My issue was with the narration by our driver, Ken. I didn't love the long winded stories and dorky jokes, but that's personal preference. What's not personal preference is rewriting history. He felt it necessary to give "two sides" to every story especially Native American and some of it is just wrong. He refers to the wars between Native American tribes as The Indian Wars (that would be the American Government vs. Native Americans on their land!). He claims that the slaughter of buffalo was necessary in order to stop the tribes from warring among themselves. Every single battle had some justification for the US Government. And when he nothing to say about Crazy Horse he went on at length about Leonard Peltier and left no doubt of his guilt. There was even some "both sides of the story" about dinosaurs and creationism, which I hope was in jest. So maybe most people would be fine with this tour, but as a history teacher it bothered me so much to be a captive audience for this.
