This was our first (and hopefully not last) trip to Napa. We decided to splurge on a personal driver so that we could enjoy the beauty of the town and the wineries. We scheduled through David and we were pleased with his communication and organization. This is pricey- $80 an hour (if you book 5 hrs you get the 6th hour free) but it was def worth it in our opinion. There are cheaper options but we honestly didn't want to do a big party bus and share space with lots of drunk strangers. Linda picked us up in our hotel parking lot. She was in a Mercedes SUV and had sparkling wine and water for us. She was very friendly and informative. We had picked 2 wineries and then asked them to pick 2 smaller ones that we didn't know about so we had 4 good stops on our list. She was patient when our first tour ran over the time schedule and she kindly called the next winery to let them know that we would be a little late. This tour includes a sandwich lunch from a local bakery and we ate them at a picnic table at one of the smaller wineries. We enjoyed this a lot! The weather and overall scenery were really great. Overall we really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to others. David and Linda are a husband/wife team that do tours in Napa. My only complaint is that when we booked our reservation with David, I let him know that I am a fairly picky eater. He mentioned that he would be bringing ham and cheese sandwiches and I told him that I don't eat cheese at all and that I prefer turkey with mustard- no mayo, etc... I figured for $400 I should be able to specify a little in what my lunch looked like- especially since we were drinking a lot that day, I felt it was important to be able to eat what I was given so that I was not drinking wine on an empty stomach. My sandwich was covered in mayo and included a lot of cheese- making it hard to pick them off and still have an enjoyable sandwich. A little bummed that this detail was overlooked, especially since I sent this request via email several weeks in advance.

I visited Napa to propose to my girlfriend. I called David at Consort Wine Tours, and he and his wife, Susan, provided an amazing experience. Susan was our driver all weekend and was extremely pleasant to be around. She picked up my girlfriend from the SFO Airport and brought her back to the hotel where I proposed. Earlier that day, Susan met me at the hotel to go over the logistics of the proposal and make sure everything went according to plan. I really appreciated her commitment to making it an amazing proposal. After the proposal, Susan and David drove us to dinner and actually purchased a phone charger while we were eating since my girlfriend forgot hers. This was a very impressive personal touch. On Saturday, Susan picked us up and took my new fiancé and I on a fun and relaxing wine tour. She had all of the logistics and plans already in place which allowed us to just enjoy the ride. We had a great time at every stop and especially enjoyed the picnic lunch and one-on-one tours at the wineries. That night Susan and David took us to dinner and when they picked us up they had gotten us a sweet engagement gift (caramels from a local candy shop). It was another great touch to the weekend. On Sunday, Susan took us to the airport--capping off a wonderful weekend. I don't know how I could visit the wine country without Consort Wine Tours! I would recommend them to anyone I knew that was visiting! They were that great!

We found out about Consort Wine tours on Trip Advisor. The reviews did not disappoint. David picked us up right on time at our hotel in Yountville. We had emailed him about a few wineries that we wanted to visit the week before. We were good to go to those, but he also suggested a few smaller boutique wineries, so we figured why not. We are very glad we did, he brought us to places we would have never found on a map and we thoroughly enjoyed them. He was informative, friendly, helpful and courteous. It truly was a VIP experience. At one of our stops we enjoyed an excellent lunch from the Bouchon Bakery, without the lineup! I would highly recommend David and Consort to anyone who wants to enjoy wine country like a VIP.
