This is a great place for corvette owners, lovers, or anyone that loves Americana. They go through all of corvettes history from it's WWII beginning (military men came home from over seas and wanted a sports car in America and that's when the concept of corvette was born).
the museum went through there sports history, how the cars are assembled, the pop culture and memorabilia (Disneyland racing car) as well as the SINKHOLE.
The sinkhole that happened Feb. 12, 2014, has its own cave-in room where they show you media coverage of the hole, plenty of pictures of the disaster and recovery and simulators of how recovery happened and how the floor caved in.
The next room the dome they have all 8 cars place exactly how they were before the sinkhole YET all the cars don't look the same. Only 3 cars were restored the 1,000,000 (white), the Blue Devil, and the 1962 black corvette. Unfortunately the other 5 were too badly crushed from the fall and boulders to restore, they are on display the way they came out of the hole (some better than others).
they also have a cafe and gift shop there. the factory tour is still closed call or check website to see update on opening of factory.
